2025 New Zealand On-Line Backgammon Championship

Open only to Backgammon Players who are living in or domiciled in New Zealand.

Format: Swiss Format, Triple Elimination. You are out of the Tournament if you lose 3 Rounds.

Prize: $100.00 for 1st Place finish. Only ANZBGF Members will be eligible for the prize.

Registration:

Players must register by sending a single email to by 17:00 October 09, 2025.

Include:

• First Name / Family Name
• Backgammon Hub Name
• Email address
• Phone number
• City / town of residence

All Players must also join Backgammon Hub.

Match Details:

• Matches will be 9 Points.
• Clocks will be set at Normal.
• Tournament starts at 12:00 midday Friday, October 10, 2025.
• Players have three days to finish each Round.

Pairings in all Rounds will be determined by an AI Program. Winners play winners; losers play losers. Players are eliminated after three losses.

If both Players cannot agree on an alternative platform, the default Platform will be Backgammon Hub. Options include BG Galaxy, Heroes or Nextgammon (if both Players agree).
